12 Why was Gregory so Nervous to Meet Her?
Two weeks flew by, and Gregory was about to get off a plane and meet Bull’s ex-wife. He’d tried to get out of it, made every excuse he could, and none of them worked. Bull wasn’t taking no for an answer. Gregory had to admit he needed a vacation, a week without work and maybe some time to lay on the beach.
“You’re about to have a fucking panic attack, relax,” Bull whispered in his ear.
He closed his eyes as the man’s beard brushed his throat. Don’t lean in, don’t lean—he ruined it as he turned his head and Bull’s mouth brushed against his cheek. He was definitely becoming obsessed with hairy men, well, only one. Bull bumped his jaw with his nose, Gregory tilted his head, so his temple rested to Bull’s forehead.
It was getting harder not to finish what he thought they’d started in the kitchen. Even before that, he loved flirting with the older man.
“I’m trying, but it’s her, and I’m nervous.”
“Don’t be, Polly’s the most down to earth person I know. Remember this is supposed to be a vacation.”
“I know.”
“Come on, if we take too long she’ll run passed security to hunt us down.”
Gregory rolled his eyes as Bull stood and held out his hand. He didn’t hesitate to take it. The rough callouses were almost as sexy as the beard and hair covered chest. He loathed when Bull wore a shirt. He hadn’t even seen the man fully naked yet, but he knew it was a crime to cover all that sexiness up.
He could see it now if Landon was there, he’d be giving Gregory hell. Bull tugged, and Gregory stood, the bigger man didn’t release his hand as he pulled down their backpacks from the overhead. He took his bag, then Bull slung his own over his broad shoulder. There was something about the man not caring who saw him holding Gregory’s hand.
They disembarked and walked through the tunnel. He noticed a few people passing them and giving them looks, but he couldn’t make himself give a shit. For a little while, he wanted to pretend the man was his.
The tunnel opened up into the terminal. People loitered on the other side of the ropes. He scanned the crowd and didn’t have to search too long for Polly. A beautiful woman with dark blonde hair and a gently rounded face smiled as she waved her arms over her head. A tall, distinguished man was grinning at her with eyes that showed the love he had for her.
“Archer,” Polly screamed as she pushed sideways through the crowd.
He released Bull’s hand as the man took three long strides and swept her up in his arms. Gregory laughed at the loud sound of a kiss on her neck and then her boisterous laughter.
“Archer, dammit, I’m a married woman.”
“A sexy, beautiful married woman.”
He snorted as Bull growled and proceeded to tickle her neck with his beard. That was definitely new. He stood back and let them have their moment.
